On October 28th, 2020 the management team of UPtoPARIS programme, in partnership with Les Innopreneurs by Réseau C.U.R.I.E and the innovation and entrepreneurship department of University PSL, organised the workshop on IP entrepreneurship at ESPCI Paris – PSL.
This event was offered to all Marie Sklodowska Curie Action fellows as well as other doctoral and postdoctoral students of ESPCI Paris.
Respecting the sanitary restrictions, around 30 participants and speakers gathered that day in a big Amphitheater of the school. The morning session was available via ZOOM for other doctoral and postdoctoral fellows of the ESPCI and the University PSL.
During the morning session, all participants had an occasion to discover a first approach to innovative entrepreneurship through an introduction to intellectual property by Peter Oosting from GROSSET-FOURNIER ET DEMACHY, to know more about the incubator PC’up from Manon Pommier of the ESPCI and finally to hear real testimonies and feedback about creation of startup from postdoctoral entrepreneurs by Max Richly, CEO of Lumedix and Damien Demoulin, CTO of Calyxia.
This session was very interactive.
After a short lunch break, 16 fellows have participated in the afternoon session for the workshop “Speed Meeting”. During a few hours, they worked in small groups of 4 people and prepared their innovative business idea around the humanoid robot with high technological value, developed by Public research laboratories
At the end of the day, 4 groups have presented their ideas by pitching the projects in front of members of jury represented by Lucie EBRAN, Manon POMMIER and KARLA BALAA who played the role of investors.
